Felipe Alvarado-Ramos

Felipe Alvarado-Ramos began playing the saxophone at 9 years old and picked up clarinet and flute while playing in high school big bands and combos. After graduating from high school, Felipe attended College of the Sequoias and performed in Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and Symphony Orchestra during his time there. He studied under Mario Marquez for saxophone and clarinet and Tracy Harris for flute during this time as well. Transferring to Fresno State to finish his Music Education degree, he is now performing in the various groups such as Fresno State Jazz Orchestra, jazz combos, Fresno State Wind Orchestra, and Bulldog Beat. Felipe is currently studying saxophone under Dr. Alan Durst. “I love performing classical, jazz, pop, and every other music in between, but I may love sharing that experience and knowledge with my students just a bit more.”
