Erik Nickell, II – High Brass

Erik Nickell II is a trumpet player and music student Fresno State University, currently studying Music Education. He has been playing for over 10 years and is studying under Dr. Nathan Sobieralski. Nickell has played with and is currently contracted with the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, and have been in the marching arts world for nearly half his life. Outside of Marching, he studys classical music, where most of the repertoire he performs as well as teaches. “This is my second year working with students officially, and I look forward to many more!”

Jack Landseadel – Low Brass:

Jack Landseadel is a multi-instrumentalist and composer from Fresno, California.  He began trombone at age 11 and expanded his playing to bass trombone, euphonium, tuba, trumpet, and french horn throughout his academic career. Landseadel also sang in high school and with the Fresno City College City Singers as a bass. Additionally, he began writing arrangements for his high school marching band as well as original compositions at age 14 and has had arrangements featured Fresno City College Wind Ensemble performances. Landseadel has an Associates Degree from Fresno City College in music, as well as Certificates in Music Theory, Jazz Performance, and Brass Performance. He is currently at Fresno State, majoring in music composition and education.
