Robert Myers has a passion for music that can be seen by his dedication to the study of music on the guitar. He received his Masters degree from California State University Fresno and has been playing guitar for over 15 years. He began taking private lessons studying electric guitar. But after being influenced by the melodies of Andalucía, he began studying classical and flamenco styles. He studied with legendary flamenco Maestro Juan Serrano during his undergraduate work at CSU Fresno. During his time there, Robert was awarded scholarship money to go abroad to study flamenco. He went to Spain and took classes taught by Manolo Sanlucar, Jose Antonio, and Paco Serrano, some of the top modern flamenco artists. Robert is also an accomplished classical guitarist as well. He studied with Dr. Corey Whitehead at CSU Fresno where earned his Masters and Bachelors degree in Music Performance. During his time at CSU Fresno, he studied arts abroad in Florence, Italy and has taken masters classes from the leading guitarist in the classical realm. Master classes with Flavio Cucci, Hubert Kappel, Eliot Fisk, Scott Tennant, Mateo Mela, Ben Verdery, Nicholas Golouses, Lito Romero, and Celine Romero. Robert has also performed for Angel Romero and Manuel Barrueco with the CSU Fresno Guitar Ensemble. He has performed with the Fresno Philharmonic, done work with Comcast Cablevision and recording for Clear Channel Radio. Robert is currently searching for a full time teaching position as well as teaching privately and performing throughout the central valley.
Danny has been playing guitar and piano for more than 30 years. He has been teaching piano and guitar in our studio for 12 years. Danny studied music and music theory at Fresno State University. He performs locally with several groups and is an accomplished studio musician and arranger.
Ashley is the most recent addition to our guitar instruction staff. She has studied under local musicians such as David Schram, Kevin Cooper, and Mike Dana.
Multi-instrumentalist, Giovann Najeh Mena, is the current guitar player of the local Fresno band Wee Beasties. With 13 years of performing experience, he has studied with many recognized music instructors and educators such as Kevin Cooper, Mike Dana, Catherine Cooper, and Bobbi Westfield. He has taught for Kidmunity, Eleanor Roosevelt Community Learning Center, and is the current general music teacher at The Learning Village based out of Clovis. Fluent in most popular genres, he continues to study music and is looking forward to completing the credential program at Fresno State University.
